Players aged 12 or over, and under 20 on 1 January 2027, can now register for Scottish Touch Academy trials. There are two trial days at the Dundee Regional Performance Centre: Saturday 5 December and Sunday 20 December 2026. Both run from 10:00 to 16:00, and each player picks the date that suits them on the registration form.
The Academy is the youth performance pathway of the Scottish Touch Association (STA). Trials are the first step for any player who wants to train, travel and play with it.
Registering takes one online form. It asks for the player’s name, date of birth and the first half of their postcode, which the Academy uses to plan where training sessions run. It also asks whether the player currently plays Touch and, if so, for which club or team. Players under 18 get a longer set of questions covering emergency contacts, medical needs, photography and communications, which a parent or guardian should complete.
Only authorised STA personnel can see the information. If a player is not selected, the STA deletes their data, unless the family has agreed to let it keep a name and email for future Academy contact.
Register on the Academy trials form. Questions about the trials go to youth.academy@touch.scot.
