SOCIAL / BEGINNER TOUCH

FUN • FRIENDLY • OPEN TO EVERYONE

A relaxed social game of Touch in Aberdeen. Whether you’re completely new to the sport, returning after some time away or just looking for a regular game, you’re welcome to come along.

COME AND PLAY

Our regular social game is an informal and welcoming way to play Touch in Aberdeen. You don’t need to be part of a club or team, and new players are welcome.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Social Touch is relaxed and welcoming, with a mix of regular players, people returning to the sport and complete beginners. Games are organised on the day, so you don’t need to bring a team or have previous Touch experience.

JUST TURN UP

No team or club membership is needed. Just come along and we’ll organise the games on the day.

ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS

Complete beginners, returning players and experienced players are all welcome.

KEEP IT SOCIAL

Friendly, informal games with the emphasis on enjoying Touch and getting everyone involved.

BRING THE BASICS

Wear suitable sports clothing and footwear for the conditions, and bring something to drink.

SOCIAL TOUCH – GOOD TO KNOW

A few things to know if you’re bringing a younger player or if Social Touch is becoming a regular part of your week.

UNDER 18?

Under-18s are welcome when accompanied by a parent/guardian or another responsible adult, who remains responsible for them throughout the session. Social Touch is not a supervised youth session, so unaccompanied under-18s should not attend. Looking for structured youth sessions? See Youth Touch.

COMING REGULARLY?

There’s no need to register just to come along and try Social Touch. If you become a regular participant, we may ask you to join our Social group on SportsMember. This helps us keep regular players appropriately recorded and gives organisers access to the emergency contact details you choose to provide.

Please note: Aberdeen Social Touch is an informal, self-organised social game. It is not organised or delivered by NESTA or the Scottish Touch Association (STA). Participants are responsible for deciding whether they are fit and able to take part and do so at their own risk.
